Drake dropped a surprise mixtape “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” last week and it quickly went viral like wild fire. But according to Charts Data, Drizzy will not debut at the number one spot on Billboard.
Most times that Drake releases a full-length project, it’s sure certified for a #1 debut on the Billboard 200 but not this time around.
It’s been confirmed that he will start off at the #2 spot, right behind country superstar Kenny Chesney which would effectively end a decade-long streak of #1 debuts for the Toronto rapper.

According to Hits Daily Double, the sales have been calculated and, with 226K equivalent albums units sold, Drizzy will debut at #2 on the Billboard 200. Ahead of him is Kenny Chesney’s album Here and Now, which moved 234K equivalent album units.
Bet no-one saw this coming, Nevertheless, with his last nine full-length projects, Drake has enjoyed success right off the bat with #1 debuts.
