Kendrick Lamar Drops Another Drake Diss Track “6:16 In LA”, Drake Reacts

Kendrick Lamar decided to hit at Drake back to back, releasing another diss track aimed at the Canadian rapper. He’s now dropped a new track titled “6:16 in LA,” and it’s got Hip Hop fans going wild.

Earlier this week, Kendrick dropped “Euphoria,” his response to after Drake’s “Push Ups” and the since-deleted “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Kendrick Lamar’s ‘6:16 in LA’ was produced by Taylor Swift’s producers Sounwave & Jack Antonoff, which seems to be a direct response to Drake’s last diss track titled “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

One of the most intriguing part of Lamar’s “6:16 in LA” is the track’s title. He seemingly channeled Drake’s likeness naming songs with time and location i.e “9AM in Dallas, “5am in Toronto,” “6PM in New York,” to mention a few.

Also, Tupac’s birthday was June 16th (6/16), Father’s Day is June 16th (6/16), 6:16 in LA — Signature timestamp record for Drake.

Drake’s dad’s cousin, Teenie Hodges, was a guitarist and songwriter for Al Green. Teenie Hodges (Mabon Hodges) played guitar on Al Green’s “What A Wonderful Thing Love Is” and Kendrick sampled Al Green’s “What A Wonderful Thing Love Is” for “6:16”

On the track, Kendrick Lamar says people in Drake’s circle are backstabbing him on ‘6:16 In LA’: “Have you ever thought that OVO is working for me?” / Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it,” the Compton spitter raps.

He continues, “If you was street smart, you woulda caught your entourage is only to hussle you / 100 guy that you got on salary, and 20 of them want you as the casualty / It’s time you look around and see who’s really around you”

He also took some shots at Drake’s arguably best supporter in the beef, DJ Akademiks. “Somebody’s lying, I can see the vibes on Ak[ademiks] / Even he looking compromised, let’s peel the layers back,” Kendrick raps.

Drake has now reacted to the new diss track. While he’s yet to respond to that first one, the Canadian rapper took time out to react to the second. Taking to his Instagram Story, Drizzy shared a cut from Denzel Washington’s scene in ‘The Equalizer’.

“I’m going to k*ll each and everyone of you and the only disappointment is that I will only get to do it once,” Denzel said in the clip to his opps.

This has since given Drake’s fans some sense of relief that he has something in store to counter the two heavy hitters from K. Dot. Some are however clowning him for sharing memes when he should be in the booth.
