Snoop Dogg Appears On Red Table Talk With Jada Pinkett
Jada Pinkett Tells Snoop Dogg Her “Heart Dropped” After His Gayle King Comments
Snoop Dogg seemingly threatened Gayle King following her comments on Kobe Bryant during an interview with Lisa Leslie where King asked the baller if Kobe Bryant’s 2003 rape trial taints his legacy.
“Funky dog head bitch! How dare you try to tarnish my muthafuckin’ homeboy’s reputation, punk muthafucka? Respect the family and back off, bitch, before we come get you,” Snoop Dogg said in a since deleted PSA.
After Snoop received backlash over his comments, he apologized publicly to Gayle King. “I didn’t threaten [Gayle]. All I did was said … you out of pocket for what you’re doing and we’re watching you.” He also asked Gayle, and other Kobe detractors to “think about Vanessa and the babies”.
Snoop will also be appearing on this week’s episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk, and he’s re-apoologizing for comments he made towards Gayle King.
In the preview clip, Jada Pinkett can be heard telling the gangster rapper that her “heart dropped” when she heard his comments aimed at CBS News anchor, Gayle King.
“When you first came out and you said what you said… you know, in regards to Gayle… my heart dropped. I felt that not only were you talking to Gayle, but you were talking to me. I was like, ‘Oh no, Snoop has now taken the power flow away from me, away from Willow, away from my mother,” she told Snoop.
“I was like — If this is what’s happening… not Snoop! That’s one of the reasons I felt like I really wanted to have a conversation with you in the spirit of healing.”
