Cardi B Album Hold Up Reportedly Due To Contract Renegotiations
Cardi B is currently on top of her game and has proven to be one of the top forces to reckon with in the rap game. The release of 2018’s ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ propelled her to A-List stardom and she’s been riding the wave of the project ever since.
Cardi has since dropped other singles, it has been an official year since the release of “Money.” And now, fans are anticipating her follow up project.
Back in March, Cardi revealed that the Coronavirus pandemic has played a major role in the delay of her works. When a thirsty fan asked her when her new music would be arriving, the rapper responded that it’s actually been delayed indefinitely. “It’s delay due to the virus,” Cardi B responded.
According to Hits Daily Double, Cardi B’s new album is being held up because she’s reportedly in the midst of renegotiating her record deal.
Cardi is currently signed to Atlantic records and insiders stated that a “protracted renegotiation” is pushing the release date back.
The Bronx rapper is trying to make sure that the business side of things is in order. It would be advantageous for her to unleash the project when she’s able to hit the road on an actual word tour since she wasn’t able to do that with her debut album.
