Meek Mill & Tory Lanez Pay Tribute To Toronto Rapper Houdini
Upcoming Toronto rapper Houdini, real name Dimarjio Antonio Jenkins, was tragically shot and killed at his hometown in the Entertainment District of Downtown Toronto this week.
Houdini had been getting lots of attention as the new buzzing rapper out of Toronto. He’s already familiarized with big names including Tory Lanez, KILLY, and other top acts in his city.
The fast rising emcee was on pace to become the next big star to break out of Toronto, unfortunately losing his life to senseless gun violence on his journey. The shooting was reportedly targeted, according to Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders.

He revealed that the suspect, while not yet identified, was in a blue vehicle and “deliberately” waited for 40 minutes for Houdini to arrive. Once he spotted the rapper, the suspect exited the vehicle, fired a gun, and left the scene.
Two other people were injured in the shooting — a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old woman. They are both expected to recover from their injuries. A gun was also reportedly collected at the scene of the murder.
Tributes has been pouring in from all angles on social media following the announcement of his death, fellow rappers including Meek Mill and Tory Lanez have also reacted to the tragic incident. Rest in peace Houdini!
