Protesters Call For Justice Singing Burna Boy’s “Ye” – Video
Video Of George Floyd Protesters Singing Burna Boy’s Hit Song “Ye”
People have come out in masses to protest against racism, police brutality and social injustice and it appears protesters are beginning to channel relatable songs for inspirations.
A video went viral yesterday, showing a police barricade made up of dozens of officers, which appears to be blocking a large crowd of protesters in New York.
In the clip, police were forced to contend with a raucous chant of “Move bitch, get out the way,” a familiar chorus by Ludacris. And later in the day, another clip surfaced online showing protesters vibing to the energetic song “Dior” by late rapper Pop Smoke.
Regardless of the increasingly violent and occasionally brutal police presence, many people are willing and emain dedicated to the cause, putting their bodies on the line despite the risk.
A new video making rounds on the internet, shows protesters singing the hook of Burna Boy’s hit song “Ye”. The self acclaimed African Giant has been buzzing around the world for a while now and “Ye” is arguably his hottest song thus far.
Burna Boy also got a nod from Grammy last year, although he lost out to another legend from the Continent, he remains one of the prominent faces of Afro Pop. Watch the video below :
