Meek Mill Reacts To Ongoing Protests With “Otherside Of America” – Listen
Meek Mill Drops New Song “Otherside Of America” Amid Ongoing Protests
Meek Mill has released a new song in reaction to the ongoing riots and protests happening in the United States. With his first hand experience with social injustice and as a pioneer of “Reform Alliance”, trust Meek has a lot to offer.
The Philly rapper dropped “Otherside Of America” few hours ago and has since been making waves across the country.
The track begins with Donald Trump’s polarizing voice roars on as he addresses the Black community. “What do you have to lose?” he asks. “You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs. 58% of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?”
Meek Mill then go ahead to argue that Blacks in America have a lot to lose. For instance, their lives. George Floyd’s death was the final straw and now, we’re fighting for change to prevent the next hashtag.
Quotable Lyrics:
Back home and I’m fresh on bail
Phone chirpin’ it was next in tell
Block poppin’ it was extra sales
Big dogs they ain’t showin’ remorse
I was beggin’ just to catch a sale
Same block we was goin’ to war
I was prayin’ I ain’t catch a shell
