Twitter Reacts To Akon Collaborating With Tekashi 6ix9ine For “Locked Up” Remix

Fans were shocked when Tekashi 6ix9ine shared a video on his Instagram page, previewing a new song with retired R&B singer Akon. Folks online have been expressing their disappointment in the legend.

Akon had shown support for 6ix9ine multiple times and even defended him for snitching, revealing that he would have done the same.

The rainbow haired rapper posted a video of them vibing to the unreleased song “Locked Up Part 2,” a remix of Akon’s 2006 track. “LOCKED UP PART 2 IM ON ALBUM MODE 💿💿💿 THIS ALBUM GOING CRAZYYYYYYY,” 6ix9ine wrote in the caption.

However, twitter users are not impressed that Akon would come out of retirement to collaborate with Tekashi 6ix9ine who has been outed for being a ‘snitch’ and Instagram troll.

They’ve been clowning the veteran singer alongside 6ix9ine’s 6ix9ine’s rainbow wig. “Akon coming out of retirement to come chill with 6ix9ine in a a party city wig just ruined my day,” someone tweeted.

“I really want to focus on how Akon dead wrong for this but the fact that 6ix9ine got on a 360 Lace frontal with an extended ponytail is REALLY DISTRACTING,” another user penned. See more reactions below :
