Wale Expresses Disappointment Over MTV VMA Snub: “I Failed Again”
Is Wale gradually turning into a crybaby? The rapper has been complaining about almost everything lately, from how bad the system is to how he’s not getting props from the same system he called out.
Wale Folarin is undoubtedly one of the best lyricists of his generation, but his need for validation is making him look otherwise. Someone help reach out to him that he’s loved and respected.
The 2020 MTV Video Music Award nomination list has been released. But some artists couldn’t find their names on the list, including Wale. The rapper was snubbed by MTV this year and he wears his heart on his sleeve, sharing his disappointment over on Twitter.
Billboard tweeted, “.@ArianaGrande and @ladygaga lead the 2020 @MTV #VMA nominations! See the complete list of nominees below,” Wale caught up with it and retweeted with the caption:
“I failed again.” Then, he followed that up with, “I shouldn’t be this disappointed. I know I shouldn’t but here we are.”
Earlier this year, Wale vent his frustration working with Pop artists, where he claimed that they only work with White and chart topping rappers.
Couple of months back, he also suggested that he’s been “blackballed to death”. “I’m blackballed to death . But won’t go there,” the rapper said at the time. “I’m either a below average artist or somethin fishy . But the information is out there.”
