Attorney Says T.I. & Tiny Harris Have Not Been Contacted By The LAPD
We earlier reported that the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed they are investigating rapper T.I. and wife Tiny over allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted several women.
Detectives say they met with one woman virtually in April over an alleged assault that took place in 2005.
A spokesperson from the LAPD confirmed to The Daily Beast that the investigation is active. The outlet also says that a second woman, Rachelle Jenks, filed a police report with similar allegations in Las Vegas earlier this month.
In contradiction, Steve Sadow, attorney for the couple, says the LAPD has not been in touch.
In a statement, Sadow says the couple “have not spoken to or been contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department, the Las Vegas Police Department or, indeed, any member of law enforcement from any other jurisdiction in the country.”
“It appears the LAPD’ accuser’ has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations — or even examine them,” Sadow said.
“Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an ‘accuser’ who supposedly filed a police report with LVPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim.”
