Airbnb Promises To Host 20,000 Afghan Refugees
Airbnb is doing its part to help 20,000 Afghan refugees around the world by giving them somewhere to stay.
Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky made the announcement via Twitter.
“The displacement and resettlement of Afghan refugees in the U.S. and elsewhere is one of the biggest humanitarian crises of our time. We feel a responsibility to step up.”
According to the United Nations around 270,000, Afghans need a new home, with ver 3 million being displaced due to the increasing violence in Afghanistan following the return to Taliban ruling.
Starting today, Airbnb will begin housing 20,000 Afghan refugees globally for free.

“I hope this inspires other business leaders to do the same. There’s no time to waste.”
As we reported, the U.S is still evacuating people out of Afghanistan despite the deadline given by the Taliban to be out by August 31 or there will be consequences.
