ASAP Rocky’s 20-Year-Old Artist Smooky MarGielaa Arrested & Charged With Attempted Murder

A$AP Rocky’s 20-year old artist Smooky MarGielaa is facing an attempted murder charge in connection with a shooting reported to have taken place in New York in July.

In recent days, multiple reports have stated MarGielaa was arrested earlier this month and is expected to make a court appearance this week.

The shooting in question, per a prior report from regional Queens-focused outlet QNS, began with a group of men getting into an argument near the intersection of Astoria Boulevard across from the Grand Central Parkway.

Incident occurred on July 25 at 24-04 41st St.

Police said at the time that one man in the group pointed a gun at another man, who fired and struck the individual in the stomach. This individual is then alleged to have passed his gun to another man, who opened fire but missed.

All involved individuals subsequently left the site of the incident, some of which was captured on surveillance footage initially shared in July.

Online booking records show MarGielaa was arrested on Sept. 1 and housed at the Eric M. Taylor Center in Queens on a second-degree attempted murder charge. The bail status is listed as having been remanded, meaning MarGielaa could be held until a potential trial.

According to Complex, the NYPD confirmed that MarGielaa is also facing five counts of assault, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, one count of reckless endangerment.
