John Amos Says His Daughter Is Lying About His Health Condition
John Amos Has No Idea Why His Daughter Would Start A GoFundMe
Now this is a plot twist! We previously reported that actor John Amos’ daughter, Shannon, was creating a GoFundMe to rescue him from alleged elderly abuse.
She claimed the actor was fighting for his life in the ICU and was near death! Chile, it turns out that John himself has said it was all a lie.
John spoke exclusively with TMZ to dispute the claims of his daughter. He confirms that he has been in the hospital for other health complications, but he’s not being abused nor is he on his death bed. He claims he’s actually starting to feel back to 100%!

John says he has no idea why his daughter would lie to the world and create a GoFundMe to raise money on his behalf. He says he has nothing to do with anything she’s spewing on the internet.
According to Shannon, on May 14th of this year, she received a distressing call from her dad, who was hospitalized far away in Memphis, Tennessee.
“We managed a brief FaceTime conversation before his pain became too unbearable. Desperate, I reached out to a family friend, who flew to Memphis while I prepared to join them. What we found shattered our world: my dad fighting for his life in the ICU,” she wrote.
She created a GofundMe, to raise money, “To catch and prosecute the alleged perpetrators, [and give us] legal assistance, hoping they face the full weight of the law.”
