Scar Lip Recounts Being Molested By Her Aunt’s Boyfriend: “She Just Watched”

It’s no secret that rapper Scar Lip has taken the internet by storm. The rapper’s tough persona and scarred lip has caused many social users to inquire about the young star.

While her coming of age story is a triumphant one, it is also filled with horrific tales of abuse.

Having lost her mother at the age of 12 in a hit and run accident, Scar Lip, born Sierra Lewis, was sent to live with her aunt. During an interview with @vladtv, the rapper revealed that her aunt would often watch as her boyfriend sexually abused Scar.

“My aunt’s boyfriend would molest me, drug me, take advantage of me, and she would just watch it happen,” she explained.

The rapper expressed that her aunt didn’t want her and her brother to go into the system. However, staying with her aunt wasn’t much of an upgrade. “She didn’t want us to be in the system, but she did worse to us,” she explained.

She was eventually kicked out of her aunt’s home which caused her to enter the foster care system. At the age of 16 she was punched by her brother, causing the infamous scarred lip which is the basis of her rap identity.

Like her lip, Scar’s music is symbolic to the tragic events that made her who she is today. Having been co-signed by some of the biggest names in music such as Swizz Beatz, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss and more…it’s safe to say the tragic tales have ended and a happier tale now begins.
