Baby Dies After Mother Left Her Alone For 8 Days To Go On Vacation In Detroit & Puerto Rico
A 31-year-old woman was charged after she allegedly left her 16-month baby alone while she vacationed in Detroit and Puerto Rico.
Kristel A. Candelario, of Cleveland Ohio, is now facing first-degree murder charges.
According to the criminal complaint, Candelario went on a vacation for more than a week, allegedly leaving her daughter behind with no one.
When she returned, she found her baby unresponsive and called 911.
Investigators found she was ‘extremely dehydrated.’ The baby was also found in soiled blankets and a bottom liner, saturated with urine and feces.
Candelario is being held on a $1 million bond. The news has since gone viral on social media, garnering lots of reactions from folks online.
“That baby died from a broken heart smfh imagine being alone all of a sudden.. days turning into nights.. no food no water.. absolutely no one smfh at that age,” someone commented.
