Rescued Australian Man At Sea Survived By Drinking Rain Water & Eating Raw Fish

An Australian man and his dog have been rescued after the two were lost at sea for a little over two months!

According to CBS News, Tim Shaddock, 51, and his dog Bella were sailing from Mexico to French Polynesia when they came across a bad sea storm that damaged this boat and ruined Ed their electric system.

This unfortunately left them adrift and cut off from the world. The pair reportedly drifted for more than two months in the Pacific Ocean! Shaddock says he survived by drinking rain water and eating raw fish that he was able to catch.

Luckily, one day, a helicopter that was accompanying a tuna trawler spotted Shaddock’s drifting vessel and rescued the pair.

“I have been through a very difficult ordeal at sea,” Shaddock said in a video opened to 9 News in Australia. “I’m just needing rest and good food, because I have been alone at sea a long time. Otherwise I’m in very good health.”

Shaddock is currently on his way back to Australia where he will get more medical attention. Many people have compared Shaddock to Tom Hank’s film “Cast Away”, where a man was lost in a sea for years.

Thank God he survived!
