Carlee Russell’s Mugshot Surfaces After Being Charged With Two Misdemeanor

As we previously reported, Carlee Russell has been charged with two misdemeanors by Hoover Police Department in connection to last week’s kidnapping hoax.

The last several weeks, we’ve been covering the now infamous Carlee Russell kidnapping story.

Just in time, Carlee Russell‘s mugshot has been released to the public. Carlee Russell captured the nation’s attention as she claimed she was kidnapped for roughly 49 hours after seeing child alone on the side of the road.

She came back home two days after the alleged abduction. Her family had stuck by her story, even after police publicly expressed scepticism.

After it was revealed to all be an elaborate hoax, the Hoover Police Department have now decided to charge Carlee for her involvement in the hoax.

According to NBC News, an arrest warrant was put out for Carlee earlier today and she has since turned herself into police.

Her misdemeanor charges are for false reporting to law enforcement authorities and falsely reporting an incident. She was released shortly after for posting bond.
