CCTV Footage From Ring Camera Captures House Explosion That Left Five People Dead In Pennsylvania
Video footage from a ring camera captured a Pennsylvania home exploding into pieces. The explosion unfortunately claimed the lives of five victims.
According to Allegheny County officials, only two of the five have been identified. Casey Clontz and his 12-year-old son, Keegan. The two were reportedly walking near the house when it exploded.
After the explosion in the video occurred, nearly 60 firefighters reportedly arrived on the scene within 15 minutes, where they “immediately began checks in the area for leakages, including smell checks and testing for gas underground and in the air.”
Assistant chief of Allegheny County Emergency Services, Steve Imbarlina, gave a statement on the incident.
“There will be lots of forensic testing to be able to tell anything one way or another,” he said. “This investigation may last for months if not years.”
At least two other homes were also reportedly destroyed and about a dozen others were damaged in the blast in the Pittsburgh suburb about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Residents of the neighborhood are reportedly seeking answers about the explosion.
“This isn’t the first time that this has happened in Plum,” neighbor Justin Newman said in a statement.
