“Give me a rundown of the CCTV”

“We saw 2 shooters get out of the van…. they jumped out and went in”

Reports on the streets of Jersey City is that the alleged shooters were romantically involved – a Black couple.

And the story is playing out just like the new Lena Waithe movie Queen & Slim. So far it’s not clear whether the killer couple was motivated by the new movie.

Here’s video of police response to the shooters:

In Queen & Slim, a movie which was produced by Lena Waitte and stars Daniel Kaluuya. Slim and Queen’s first date takes an unexpected turn when a policeman pulls them over for a minor traffic violation. The situation escalates, and Slim takes the officer’s gun and shoots him in self-defense.

Queen & Slim were then labelled cop killers in the media, and feel that they have no choice but to go on the run and evade the law. When a video of the incident goes viral, the unwitting outlaws soon become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief and pain for people all across the country.
