50 Cent Reacts To Winning NAACP Image Award As A Director
The 51st annual NAACP Image Awards held on Saturday night and it got underway as the organization continued its tradition in honoring exceptional entertainers, artists, and creators of color over the past year.
Curtis Jackson popularly known as 50 Cent bagged his first ever award as a director at the just concluded NAACP Image Awards for his TV series ‘Power’.
50 Cent won the Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series beating other contenders like Ava DuVernay – “When They See Us” – Part Four, Carl H. Seaton, Jr. – “Snowfall” – Hedgehogs, Debbie Allen – “Grey’s Anatomy” – Silent All These Years, Jet Wilkinson – “The Chi” – The Scorpion and the Frog.
50 took to instagram to celebrate his win. “oh shit Courtney we won , first and foremost i’d like to thank God, jeff hirsch, jon feltheimer, kevin begg’s. STARZ is #1,” he wrote on his first post.
“Hard work beats talent, when talent isn’t working. you maybe gifted but you don’t want it as bad as me. LoL,” Fif captioned a follow up post.
