The Weeknd’s New Album “After Hours” Breaks Apple Music Record
It appears fans can’t just wait for The Weeknd’s long awaited album “After Hours” to drop and according to Music Business Weekly, the album has already garnered 975K pre-adds on Apple Music.
“After Hours” now marks a brand new record on the streaming platform. The Weeknd now holds the title previously belonging to Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? that racked up 800K pre-adds.
The report claims that within the next few hours, The Weeknd could very well hit a million which would make his album the first to ever reach that milestone on the streaming platform.
The project garnered so much pre ads on Apple Music regardless of the fact that The Weeknd has confirmed that it’ll only be his voice we’ll be hearing this evening on the album.
He told TMZ that there won’t be any features on the project and in addition to that, he also shared a statement regarding his decision to release this new album in the face of a global crisis, saying, “Let the music heal us all during these dark times.”
