6ix9ine’s “GOOBA” Becomes Fastest Video To Reach 100 Million Views On Youtube
Tekashi 6ix9ine Breaks Ariana Grande & Taylor Swift Record For Fastest Video To Reach 100 Million Views On YouTube
We reported earlier Tekashi 6ix9ine‘ first single post prison release “GOOBA” has set a new YouTube record after recording 43.55 millions views under 24 hours. Well, it’s broken another one and it seems like more wins for the rapper.
“GOOBA” music video begins with an animated, rainbow shark chomping down its sharp teeth, which diehard Pixar fans will recognize as Bruce from 2003’s ‘Finding Nemo’.
The video also features about a dozen model twerking in the background of which one of them is the Brooklyn rapper’s girlfriend Jade. She also made sure her tattoo of 6ix9ine was fully captured in the colorful clip.
Tekashi 6ix9ine broke Eminem’s record for the most viewed YouTube Hip Hop video in first 24 hours. Eminem’s “Kill Shot” garnered 38.1 million views in its first 24 hours while 6ix9ine’s “GOOBA” raked 43.55 million views in its first 24 hours.
On Wednesday (May 13th), it was announced that “GOOBA” had officially become the fastest video by an American artist to garner 100 million views on Youtube. “GOOBA” racked up the impressive amount of views in a mere 71 hours, destroying Ariana Grande’s “thank u next” and Taylor Swift’s “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie.
Ariana Grande and Taylor’s videos were in a tight match having both obtained 100 million views by the middle of their fourth days, but have now lost the spot to 6ix9ine.
