We reported earlier that fired cop who killed George Floyd by suffocating him to death with his knee pressured on Floyd’s neck during arrest, Derek Chauvin, has been arrested in Minneapolis and placed in custody.
A follow up report on the case, confirmed that Chauvin was charged with 3rd-degree murder as well as manslaughter.
The whole world is justifiable against Derek Chauvin, after video of the fatal incident with George Floyd began to circulate online, thousands of protesters have stood outside Chauvin’s home, protesting loudly.
According to new reports, Derek Chauvin’s wife Kellie Chauvin, has filed for divorce from her husband. Kellie who was once Mrs Minnesota wasted no time distancing herself from her husband’s controversy.
“This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy. She has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin,” Kellie Chauvin’s attorneys revealed.
“While Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time.”
