Dave Chappelle Speaks On George Floyd Death In Powerful New Special ‘8:46’

Netflix recently shared Dave Chappelle‘s Chapelle & Friends: A Talk with Punchlines titled “8:46,” where he addressed the recent inhumane killing of George Floyd, at the hands of Minneapolis police.

“It’s hard to figure out what to say about George Floyd, so I’m not going to say it yet,” Chappelle begins, “I got to tell you, this is like the first concert in North American since all this sh*t happened, so like it or not, it’s history. It’s going to be in the books.”

He then took aim at Conservative commentator Candace Owens, who brought up Floyd’s past legal issues saying that he was not an amazing person. “George Floyd was not an amazing person,” Candace said in the viral video.

In response Chappelle said, “I seen Candace Owens try to convince white America, ‘Don’t worry about it. He’s a criminal anyway.’ I don’t give a f*ck what this n*gga did. I don’t care what this n*gga did.”

He continued, “I don’t care if he personally kicked Candace Owens in her stanky p*ssy. I don’t know if it stanks, but I imagine it does. If I ever find out, I’ll let you know for sure. I’ll tell like Azealia Banks. I’ll tell.”

He’s been trending on twitter ever since, receiving praises for his words. Below are some reactions :
