Kanye West Enlists Nigerian British Designer Mowalola Ogunlesi As Design Director Of Yeezy Gap

Kanye West broke the news about Yeezy Gap partnership deal on Friday. And according to his wife Kim, the deal is a dream come true for Kanye. Just in time, it was revealed that Kayne West has recruited Nigerian-British designer Mowalola Ogunlesi to the Yeezy Gap design team.

Mowalola Ogunlesi who undoubtedly has an impressive and extensive design catalog was announced as the director of Yeezy Gap. And she has since confirmed on Instagram.




On Father’s Day, Kanye, Kim, and their daughter North channelled custom designs by Mowalola in a post Kim shared on Instagram. Ye wore a matching patent leather jacket and pants, while Kim wore a teal trench coat and brown patent leather dress. North can be seen wearing a neon green and black cow-print dress, all of which was designed by Mowalola.

According to HNHH, Mowalola has previously worked with talented R&B artists like Kelela, Steve Lacy, and Solange, as well as collaborating with British rapper Skepta on his “Pure Water” video.

Kanye also confirmed the news via his Twitter account, shouting out Mowalola and other Yeezy Gap personnel in all caps, adding the hashtag #WESTDAYEVER.




The now highly-anticipated collaborative venture with Gap has an anticipated 2021 launch and is a 10-year deal with a choice to renew after the first five.
