It’s been a quite controversial time for J Cole after folks online tried to cancel him and Kendrick Lamar overnight, because they have not been using their social media pages to support the Black Lives Matter protests.

It appears a lot of people are mad at what they had contributed to the protests but nobody realized that both rappers had been on the front lines, and had joined protesters to march in support of the movement.

Cole addressed the issue on his new song “Snow On Da Bluff” but it only drew more criticism to the Dreamville huncho. “Morning. I stand behind every word of the song that dropped last night,” he wrote in response to the backlash.

“Right or wrong I can’t say, but I can say it was honest. Some assume to know who the song is about. That’s fine with me, it’s not my job to tell anybody what to think or feel about the work.”

However, amid the contoversy, Top Dawg Entertainment President, Punch, in his that words claims that Kendrick Lamar isn’t truly as appreciated as he should be. When somebody asked him to deliver a message to Kendrick on his birthday to bring back “the real.”

“Nah. N***as don’t appreciate it,” Pucnch wrote in response to the fan.
