Charlamagne Tha God Gives His Thoughts On 50 Cent & T.I Versuz Battle

50 Cent marked his 45th birthday yesterday and from all the loving wishes he received from fans, friends, colleagues and family, one stood out. It was T.I’s birthday wishes that came with a hit for hit “Versuz” battle challenge.

T.I took to to challenge 50 Cent in a three-minute-long verbal challenge. He called on Swizz Beatz and Timbaland to get involved in setting things up.

“For your birthday, I offer you a challenge, sir. Pull your ass up with 20 of your records, sit across from me, and get this work, man,” the self acclaimed King of the South said. Inviting Fif to bring the records with Dr. Dre, Eminem, and G-Unit.

50 has since responded to the challenge, seemingly turning down the challenge with a reference to Ice Cube’s iconic stoner comedy, Friday. “yo somebody passed TI the weed they gave smokey in Friday. LOL,” Fif wrote on Instagram. 

In reaction to the possible ‘Versuz’ challenge, veteran Hip Hop critic Charlamagne Tha God said: “Love everything that 50 Cent is about when it comes to his business, but in that Verzuzversus T.I., y’all know I’m on record as saying T.I. is one of my top five to seven favorite rappers of all time, I think T.I. washes 50 Cent in a Verzuz battle.”

DJ Envy who thinks otherwise, listed some 50 Cent hits that seem to be unbeatable in a battle, but Charlamagne countered with a string of T.I. favorites. “When you put together [T.I.’s] own catalog [and] features, it’s not even close,” said Charlamagne.
