Jack Harlow Dissociates Self From JW Lucas: “I’ve Never Met Him”
Jack Harlow Says He’d Never Met Or Spoken To JW Lucas & He Didn’t Produce ‘Whats Poppin”
Hip Hop producer JW Lucas has been getting dragged on social media following his comments on the tragic death of Breonna Taylor. Lucas doesn’t understand why people are seeking justice for her because she allegedly sells crack.
“Why is the world asking for justice for #BreonnaTaylor…ofcourse she shouldn’t have lost her life…. ,” He wrote in a since deleted tweet.
“But you realize that she was involved with multiple drug dealers who were using her house as a trap spot? If you sign up for that life there are consequences,” Lucas added.
After heavy backlash on Twitter, he deleted his original tweet about Breonna Taylor because he was misinformed. He revealed that he spoke with Breonna’s sister who told him that her home wasn’t a “trap house” and it’s widely speculated that police falsified reports.
“I just had a conversation with breonnas sister. She informed me of the actual nature of the case and cleared up some things for me. I want to apologize to her and her family if my comment regarding her case had any potential inaccuracies,” Lucas tweeted.

I am deleting my original tweet because of the potential inaccuracy that her house was being used to receive drugs packs in the mail. If there was any corruption in the case the punishment should be the maximum allowed under law

Jack Harlow, whose hit song “Whats Poppin” was co-produced by Lucas quickly distanced himself from the producer. In a tweet which was captured by SOHH, he said. “I’ve never met or spoken to that JW Lucas person. And he didn’t even produce WHATS POPPIN. Jetson and Pooh made it. That’s all.”
However, it’s reported that production credits include “JetsonMade; Pooh Beatz; JW Lucas; LosTheProducer.”
Yup – @jackharlow puts immediate distance between himself and #JWLucas after those explosive and offensive #BreonnaTaylor remarks. #SOHH #SOHHNews #BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/xqgWaQo37V
