Kanye West Says He’s No Longer Supporting Trump & Reveals Running Mate
Kanye West Announces Michelle Tidball As His 2020 Running Mate
At this point, it’s vividly clear that Kanye West is not joking about his intentions to run for President in this coming 2020 elections. Many didn’t take him serious initially, but it’s dawned on them that the rap and business mogul is really contesting.
While he’s got major support from his celebrity friends including fellow billionaire Elon Musk, 2 Chainz and his own wife Kim Kardashian, he’s also been slammed by some who doesn’t see him fit for the presidential seat.
The likes of Jamie Fox and Stephen Jackson had used social media to urge people not to vote for Kanye. Posting a screenshot of DJ Hed’s tweet that said we shouldn’t vote “for celebrities who’ve never held public office… America’s obsession with fame / celebrity is the endgame.”
In an exclusive interview with Forbes, Kanye spoke about his platform, revealing his running mate for the upcoming Presidential Election, clarifying which party he’s running for. And regarding his previous support of Donald Trump, he said: “I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,” he said, revealing that he is no longer on board with Trump’s ideals.
“It looks like one big mess to me,” he told the outlet. “I don’t like that I caught wind that he hid in the bunker.”
When speaking on the platform he will be running for, West is creating his own. Calling it the Birthday Party, he has said that he’s already got support from Elon Musk and others, and that he’s running so he could win. “Like anything I’ve ever done in my life, I’m doing to win.”
His running mate will be Michelle Tidball, a preacher from Wyoming. On accusations that he’ll only trim down Joe Biden’s chances of winning by sharing the Black people’s vote, he said : “I’m not denying it, I just told you. To say that the Black vote is Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy,”
West said that he’s never voted in his life, and that he had coronavirus back in February. He has recovered but, apparently, he’s not entirely down with a COVID-19 vaccine. He called vaccines “the mark of the beast.”
His stance on abortion was also made clear, as he said that “Planned Parenthoods have been placed inside cities by white supremacists to do the Devil’s work.”
