UK Grime rapper Wiley, made controversial news over the weekend after making anti-semitic tweets, calling the Jewish community ‘cowards’ and ‘snakes’. He also likened the Jewish to the KKK, trashing Drake along.
“Jewish people don’t care what black went through they just use us to make money to feed their kids … for generations as well,” Wiley wrote in a tweet.
Wiley claimed that it was the system that made Drizzy successful. “Infact the system was set up perfectly for someone like Drake,” he tweeted. “@Drake Represents everything I am talking about… Get that anti semetic bullshit out of here and take @drake with you on god.”
Following reports that Wiley has been dropped by his management, London’s police are also investigating him his stream of anti-Semitic comments.
Acccording to BBC, the “Boasty” crooner has been banned by Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram in one fell swoop. The outlet reported the news of Wiley’s ban, confirming that Facebook deleted the rapper’s page. A spokesperson for Facebook cited “repeated violations” of the terms and services. His Instagram page was also deleted.
Wiley has since apologized for his comments. “My comments should not have been directed to all Jews or Jewish people,” he stated in a statement on Sky News. “I want to apologise for generalising, and I want to apologise for comments that were looked at as anti-Semitic.”
