Marques Houston Finally Weds His 19 Year Old Fiancee Miya – Pics

Marques Houston & Teenage Fiancee Miya Are Officially Married

R&B singer Marques Houston, made controversial headlines couple of months back following reports that he’s about to marry his much younger girlfriend, Miya X. Marques announced last year that he proposed to the 19-year-old beauty after more than a year of dating.

Shockingly, reports at the time suggests that when Marques first met Miya, she may have been a teenage runaway.

Marques told fans that he met Miya while attending Jehovah’s Witness services, with longtime friend Chris Stokes. It’s not clear whether Miya was 17 or 18 years old at the time however. Eventually, the two hit it off and started dating. And in no time, the two were engaged.

Against all odds, Marques Houston is officially now married to the love of his life Miya. The singer took to Instagram to announce their unity. “We can’t believe the day has finally come! The day when the two of us were bonded together before Jehovah to become one,” he wrote.

“Jehovah has blessed us with a true happiness that is unmatched! Matthew 19: 5,6 “For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh” 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together, let no man put apart.”

Marques has also responded to allegations that he’s getting married to a 19 year old woman who was allegedly listed as a runaway. “With all that’s going on in the world, my love life shouldn’t be a topic. But since it is let me just give y’all the facts so you don’t have to “allegedly” believe or create rumors,” he began.

“After reading the Blog that was published about my fiancé and I, I felt with this situation I needed to speak because this is not music or television, this is my family, my future wife and my life. I met Miya in 2018 through a mutual friend. Never before then, did I even know she existed,” he continued.

He claims that her name being listed in an IMDB film was somebody being “messy” and that he, Miya and Chris Stokes are like family. He says he did not start dating her until she was an adult (18) — but did not directly address the allegations about him and Stokes made by Raz B.
