Furious Mike Tyson Can No Longer Wait

Iron Mike is everywhere in recent times, from UFC to Wrestling and to his very own boxing scene, sparking debate on a potential opponent for his epic comeback. It will undoubtedly be a great view to watch 54 year old Mike Tyson, who last fought in 2005 get in the ring again.

However, the Heavyweight boxing phenom is aiming to take on a pedigree fighter like former four-division world champion, Roy Jones Jr.

Although the upcoming bout they’ve agreed to is a mere exhibition fight without all the same stakes and rules as an ordinary slug fest, these champs will surely have lot of people glued to their screens.

The Match was suppose to go down on the 12th of September 2020 live on Pay Per View but the promoters postponed it to November 28, 2020, at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

“Changing the date to Nov. 28th will give more people the opportunity to see the biggest comeback in boxing history,” Tyson revealed in a statement. “This temporary inconvenience will last longer than Roy Jones Jr. He better be ready, I’m coming full force,” he added.

Sportbible recently had an interview with Eddie Hearn via Zoom at his Fight Camp in Brentwood where the Matchroom Boxing promoter revealed why Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones will not happen.

“No, I don’t think we will. When they announced the fight first of all, it was so quick. We know the obstacles in front of you when it comes to making big fights,” he answered when asked if we will actually see them in the ring for real.

“So they put a delay in and now I’ve heard things from Roy Jones saying, he’s not fighting unless he’s compensated because he had something else planned in November,” Eddie added.

While there are reports that Roy Jones Jr might be pulling out of his match against Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield has decided to make a return to the octagon. There are a few fighters who are predicted to be his opponent and one of them is Mike Tyson.

The two go way back. They have already fought against each other in the past, twice in fact and Holyfield won both times. Now, 23 years later, there might be the possibility of a third round between these two.

Couple of weeks back, Holyfield shared his latest training video on Instagram, but fans are not so certain that the 57-year-old is looking his best. “Am I the only one here seeing that his punch not in point?” a fan commented. “Haha Ook I no Holyfield that you have make history but this is not real moves,” another user wrote.

Nonetheless, there were some optimistic remarks about the clip. “Looking like your prime self,” a fan chimed in. “Ain’t no slowing down the Champ,” added another.
