Twitter Blasts Omari Hardwick For ‘Inappropriate’ Chadwick Boseman’s Tribute

Popular ‘Power’ actor Omari Hardwick, is going viral this morning after a controversial Chadwick Boseman tribute he posted on Instagram. Folks online are unimpressed and upset with his “tribute” to the 43 year old actor who lost his life to Conor Cancer.

Omari and Chadwick Boseman have had parallel careers. The two Black actors were often up for the same roles in Hollywood, and they had a healthy competition against each other.

However, following reports of the Black Panther star untimely death, Omari took to social media to air his grief in the most unpleasant manner. He shared a video of him receiving a Golden Globe award, where he quickly mentioned Chadwick.

People have been slamming Omari over his inappropriate and egocentric tribute. “The man’s body isn’t even cold yet, and you’re already talking about “picking up his crown”? a Twitter user wrote.

When a fan queried the similarities in their movie roles, citing that Omari played a drug dealer in Power while Chadwick played some of the greatest inspiration for African Americans, Omari’s response is nothing to write about.
