Twitter Brings Up CeeLo’s Rape Case After Trashing Female Rappers
Fans Brings Up CeeLo Green’s Old Rape Charges After His Rant Against Female Rappers
Atlanta rapper CeeLo Green, is currently getting dragged on Twitter after he called out several prominent female rappers for using adult content in their music, but folks online are reminding him that he was once accused of rape.
Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, popularly known by his stage name CeeLo Green, is a singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, actor, and businessman. Green is known for his work in soul music, including the hit singles “Crazy” and “Fuck You”.
During a recent interview with Far Out, Cee-Lo called out the three biggest female rappers in Hip-Hop Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion. “A lot of music today is very unfortunate and disappointing on a personal and moral level,” he said before trashing the female rappers.
In 2013, the star pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of giving the drug Ecstasy to a woman who also accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2012. He was not charged with the rape as there was not enough evidence.
“Did we all just conveniently forget that cee-lo allegedly drugged a woman and raped her or..? so why we listening to anything he has to say,” a Twitter user wrote.
“Remember when Cee-Lo said raping an unconscious woman was fine because she can’t say “no”,” another user noted. See some reactions below :
