Trey Songz, Big Sean, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Chance The Rapper & More Lend Their Voices Against Police Brutality In Nigeria
As rounds of protests against police brutality grip major Nigerian cities, some Nigerians in the diaspora are planning a rally in solidarity with the #EndSARS movement.
The movement which first began in 2017 erupted in fresh protests on Wednesday in cities such as Lagos, Abuja, Ugehili and Ibadan over the reported killing of a man by police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives on Saturday.
As the animosity towards the police unit continues to grow, protesters are demanding an end to the menace of police brutality and harassment of youth, calling for a total disbandment of the unit.
#EndSars has become a worldwide trend and is now garnering reactions from American celebrities. The likes of Big Sean, Trey Songz, Lil Baby, MoneyBagg Yo, Estelle took to their respective social media pages to lend a voice to the movement.
They all condemned the heinous acts pf the SARS men and called for its disbandment. “After doing a little research I would like to speak out against what’s going on in Nigeria right now,” wrote Trey Songz.
“Their pleas to #EndSarsNow IS VERY REAL. I have so much love for my Nigerian fans and it’s so hurtful to hear whats happening,” he added.

Police brutality here in America often is an abuse of power driven by race. To be brutalized, extorted and murdered by your own people is unimaginable. Prayers up and I’m researching ways I can help. #EndSARS
