‘No Guarantee’ Singer Chico DeBarge Busted with Crystal Meth & Heroin

Popular 1980s R&B singer Chico DeBarge, was recently arrested for possession of crystal meth in Burbank. According to a new report from TMZ, Chico DeBarge was pulled over with two passengers on January 13 for driving at night with no headlights or license plates.

When police pulled over Chico and his friends, they learned that the R&B singer didn’t have any ID.

The police claim that Chico lied about who he was, and told officers that he was his older brother James.  They claimed they found crystal meth and heroin after searching the singer.

Chico was later taken into custody, where his real identity was discovered, and charged with drug possession, driving under the influence and impersonation.

Based on media reports, Chico has struggled with drug addiction for many years. In 2007, he was also arrested by police for drug possession and went to rehab for treatment.

Two years later, he admitted publicly to being addiction to several drugs including heroin, cocaine and prescription medication.

For this arrest Chico was in jail for 10 days, until he was able to make bail.
