Lil Wayne Thanks Trump For Pardoning Him
Lil Wayne Issues Appreciation Tweet To Donald Trump
On Wednesday morning, the former POTUS Donald Trump carried out one of his final acts as President, releasing a list of 143 people in federal prison who will be pardoned in a late-night blast at 1 am.
Lucky individuals Included in the list were Lil Wayne, Kodak Black, Death Row Records co-founder Harry-O, and Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.
Kodak Black had earlier shared a few words on his Twitter account thanking the former president. “I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence,” Kodak wrote.
Taking to Twitter, the legendary rapper also issued an appreciation Tweet to Trump for getting him out of his legal woes.
“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!
Prior to the pardon, Wayne is awaiting sentencing for a federal gun charge that he recently pled guilty to.
Last December, Lil Wayne‘s private jet was searched by federal investigators in Miami where they found heroin and a gold gun in a bag, which Weezy confessed to being the owner of.
I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank @bradfordcohen for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!
