Fans are convinced that Jay Z and Beyonce may have copped Notorious B.I.G’s Crown for their daughter Blue Ivy after she was pictured rocking it while sipping from her Grammy Award.

The crown adorned with plastic jewels, famously worn by Notorious B.I.G. during his last ever photo shoot, sold for $594,750 at Sotheby’s in New York on Tuesday evening.

The item, signed by the rapper days before his death in 1997, smashed auction estimates that had initially valued it between $200,000 and $300,000.

The crown was among a sizable collection of hip hop memorabilia auctioned off by Sotheby’s in an sale dedicated to the genre’s “history and cultural impact.”

Jay Z and Beyoncé’s oldest daughter Blue Ivy Carter made history at the Grammy Awards. Beyoncé as well became the most decorated woman in Grammy history on Sunday, earning her 28th award for Best R&B Performance for her song “Black Parade.”

Blue Ivy won her very first Grammy on Sunday for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl,” which she is featured in.

The 9 year old is now the second youngest person to ever win a Grammy. However, pictures of her celebration that shows her sipping from the award with a crown on her is causing stir online.

Many are convinced she’s rocking Biggie’s crown that was up for auction earlier on.
