Donald Trump Calls LeBron James Racist

Donald Trump and LeBron James have never been on good terms. The NBA star is among the outspoken influential personalities that opposed Trump, especially with the creation of his “More Than A Vote” organization, which helped many people become registered voters.

Before Trump was voted out of office, he blasted the NBA for getting too political, and also sent shots at LeBron. Trump claimed that LeBron is a spokesman for the Democrats and that he is also a hater.

Recently, LeBron James tweeted out his controversial “You’re Next #Accountability” message alongside a photo of Nicholas Reardon, the Columbus Ohio police officer who shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant on Tuesday (April 20).

Ever since, conservatives have been giving the Los Angeles Lakers icon a hard time. He was accused of inciting violence against the officer. Although he’d denied the claims, critics won’t stop coming at him.

On Thursday (April 22) evening, former President Donald Trump reportedly surfaced with a statement about LeBron’s tweet. Political reporter Ben Jacobs shared a statement that is said to have come from Trump.

“LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long and distinguished history of the League,” reads the statement.

“His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning. He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together.”
