Federal Judge Grants Approval To Move R Kelly To NYC For Sex Trafficking Trial

A federal judge has approved R Kelly to be moved from Chicago to New York City for his trial due to several sex trafficking allegations.

According to reports, the disgraced singer was currently being held in a Chicago facility after his trial in Brooklyn was delayed due to covid.

The federal judge also requested that @rkelly be moved to Metropolitan Detention Center, in NYC once it gets closer to his time. According to his attorney Steve Greenberg, he states “My client has denied the sex trafficking allegations & looks forward to this trial.”

The trial is set to occur in a Brooklyn federal court on August 9th after delays due to the pandemic.

Earlier this year, R Kelly addressed his legal woes with his 2013 song “Shut Up“. On his 5th birthday, the disgraced singer took to social media to share a track written to address those who have confronted him about his relationships with young women.




Implying that he still sees himself as a champion, although his legacy is being torn down around him.  The track, called “Shut Up,” was featured on Kelly’s 2013 album Black Panties.
