Legendary Los Angeles Rapper DJ Quik Was Not Shot
Rapper DJ Quik was NOT shot, after leaning the recording studio early this morning, despite multiple posts saying the opposite. The whole thing was just a bad April’s Fools joke.
Quik told fans that he was shot twice, while driving on the highway.
“I’m on my way to the hospital. Someone just shot into my car 7-10 times on the freeway,” Quik wrote on his Instagram story. “I got hit twice. Pray for me,” he added.
Moments later, he revealed that it was April Fool’s joke. “Oh yeah… APRIL FOOL!”
DJ Quik, real name David Marvin Blake, is a rapper, songwriter, DJ and record producer, known for his production in the G-funk style of West Coast hip-hop.
Quik has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, 2Pac, Erick Sermon, Shaquille O’Neal and many more. Blake’s stage name reflects his ability to produce records in a short period of time.
Some of his top songs include “Dollaz + Sense”, “Tonite”, “Born and Raised in Compton” and “Jus Lyke Compton”
He’s known as one of the legendary rappers who created the “Los Angeles’ hip hop sound.
