Offset Arguably Has The Best Verse On Migos ‘Straightenin’ – Opinion
Offset Bodied Quavo And Takeoff On ‘Straightenin’
The Migos are of course one of the greatest rap group in Hip Hop, influencing today’s trap music with their spiced up tunes. The rap trio recently came through with their long awaited album ‘Culture III’.
Back in May, prior to the album release, The rap group dropped ‘straightenin’ as a power boost for their album.
On the song, Quavo sets the tone with bars referencing his time acting with Robert De Niro before the underrated Takeoff took over. Offset fittingly bats third to puncture the beat with his silky flow talking about his days spinning the block.
Although the trio have made it known they don’t want to be pitied against one another, instead, they want fans to compare them with others in the industry, it’s cultural to check and review whose got the fire flow among them.
After a month and 7 seven days since ‘Straightenin’ dropped, we at Dreddsworld have listened over and over, ingesting and digesting, comparing and contrasting the trio’s verses.
And it’s safe to say our conclusion is based on a critical analysis of their deliveries. Also, fans take on the song. Yes, we can bodly say Offset did justice to the song, bodying the other two. This doesn’t mean Quavo and Takeoff have weak verses but, of course Offset went the hardest.
Quotable lyric from Offset:
“Get my straightenin’ (straightenin’)
Automatic handgun like the Navy (automatic, raow)
I keep a hundred round drum, I ain’t fading (paow-paow)
Turn a nigga to a mummy with the payment (woo, woo)”
