Pooh Shiesty Preliminary Hearing Is Slated For July 22

Pooh Shiesty is currently facing twenty years in prison for his alleged role in a Miami strip club shooting. The rapper was charged with aggravated battery on May 30th after allegedly shooting a security guard in the leg.

He recently appeared in court, where he had his bond revoked and was informed that he would need to remain incarcerated until he goes on trial.

We reported earlier that the victim had recanted his statement, saying he was given painkillers at the hospital before providing a police statement and claiming that he doesn’t remember being shot.

Regardless of the witness recanting, Pooh Shiesty will remain behind bars. It’s reported that a judge has denied the rapper’s bond and he is to remain incarcerated until his preliminary hearing on July 22.

The Miami Herald reported that federal authorities have been seeking charges against Shiesty for the October 2020 shooting that they allege was a drug deal that went sour.

Pooh has been tapped for inclusion in XXL‘s 2021 Freshman class, Pooh Shiesty will have to celebrate his latest accomplishment from behind bars.
