R. Kelly’s Former Manager Says Singer Docked His Pay When He Didn’t Book A Female Tour Guide At Disney World
A former studio manager who worked for R. Kelly revealed during the trial that the singer docked his paycheck after he didn’t book a female tour guide for a trip to Disney World.
The manager, identified as Tom Arnold, worked for R. Kelly between 2004 and 2011 and said during testimony on Thursday that the singer did not pay him after following an order.
According to Insider, Arnold didn’t book a female tour guide for the singer’s trip to Walt Disney World in Florida and R. Kelly specified that he wanted a woman to take him around the theme park.
“It needed to be a woman. His request was that it would be a female tour guide,” he said in front of jurors during the trial. Arnold added that he managed the singer’s studio at his mansion in Olympic Fields and frequently worked as a road manager on multiple occasions.
He said R.Kelly would give him and other employees pieces of paper with his phone number written on it so they could hand it to women at concerts and parties.
The former manager said everyone who entered the mansion was required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and all employees had to flee from the property whenever a woman entered the room. Additionally, employees were docked for minor issues.
“We were all fined because someone ate his doughnuts.”
Arnold quit working for the singer after he sent him a paycheck of $0 after the Disney World incident.
