Sirhan Sirhan, the man who killed Robert F. Kennedy, has been granted parole on Friday after appearing for his 16th parole hearing

During the hearing, RFK’s children, Robert Kennedy Jr. and Douglas Kennedy supported Sirhan’s parole but the 77-year-old has to wait longer before he’s officially released.

He has to undergo a 120-day review window and a decision from the governor if they decided to overrule the parole board’s ruling as per TMZ.

Back in 2018, RFK Jr. said during an interview with the Washington Post that he believed a second gunman killed his father instead of Sirhan Sirhan.

Robert F. Kennedy was killed at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles after winning the California Presidential Primary in 1968.

Sirhan fired the fatal shots while Kennedy was standing in a kitchen pantry and Kennedy’s autopsy report revealed he was shot once in the head and twice in the back.

Originally, Sirhan was sentenced to death after he was convicted of murder but his sentence was changed to serve life in prison after the death penalty was ruled unconstitutional.

The outlet added that Sirhan plans to live with his brother in Los Angeles after his release.
