Birdman Explains Why He Would Kiss Lil Wayne On The Lips

A lot has been speculated about the relationship between Lil Wayne and his former adopted father, collaborator and label boss Birdman. The speculations grew deeper after Baby was captured kissing Lil Wayne on the lips.

After years of different meanings to the scene by fan, Birdman has decided to clear the air once again.

“First of all, my own son, I would kiss him,” Birdman he said on the Big Facts podcast. “I always looked at Wayne as my son and I always looked at it like, ’cause I was in the streets, and I thought this might be the last time he ever see me.”

In 2006, a picture of the Birdman and Wayne kissing on the mouth surfaced online and it immediately went viral.

Birdman had spoken about the kiss in 2009 in an interview with British DJ Tim Westwood.

“That’s my son. If he was right here, I’d kiss him again,” he said. “I just think people took that too far, man. That’s my son. I’ll do it again tomorrow, I’ll kill for him. Ride and die for him.”
