Britney Spears Is Back On Instagram

Pop singer Britney Spears is back on Instagram after taking a short break from the platform. The ‘Toxic” singer reactivated her account Monday (Sept. 20) and told fans she simply could not contain her excitement.

Her reactivation comes after going on a brief trip with Sam Asghari, her husband-to-be, to celebrate their engagement news.

Spears posted a series of pictures to her feed and wrote, “Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my…holy s–t…FIANCÉ…I still can’t believe it!!!! I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already!!!! Psss I took these in Palm Springs with clip in extensions!!!!!”

Spears announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari before she deactivated her page and fans began to worry.

“Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement !!!!” the singer clarified in a tweet last Tuesday. “I’ll be back soon.”

The engagement news was confirmed to The Times by Brandon Cohen, a talent manager for Asghari.

“The couple made their longstanding relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them,” Mr. Cohen said.
