Comedian Martin Lawrence Causes Stir With Massive Weight Gain

Martin Lawrence has reportedly put on about 50 pounds since the 2020 Covid lockdown, and now fans are saying that the popular actor/comedian is barely recognizable.

Martin – who is known as the “funniest comedian of the 1990s” – unveiled his massive weight gain yesterday, when he posted an image from the set of his new film “Mindcage.”

To put the weight gain in perspective, this was Martin just before the pandemic – at the premiere of his movie Bad Boys, with his wife:

And this is what he looks like now. In the image, Martin’s face looks swollen – as does his hands, and his neck.

Martin is a comedian, actor, producer, writer, and former Golden Gloves boxer. Lawrence came to fame during the 1990s, establishing a Hollywood career as a leading actor. He got his start playing Maurice Warfield in What’s Happening Now!! (1987–1988).

He was a leading actor in the Fox television sitcom Martin, the Bad Boys franchise, and House Party, Boomerang, Wild Hogs, Nothing to Lose, Blue Streak, Life, Big Momma’s House, and A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.
