Another Astroworld Festival Goer, A Woman, Pronounced Dead

A woman who attended the Atroworld concert has died. The festival death toll is now 9.

“At 6:50 last night, Bharti Shahani lost her battle from the horrific injuries she sustained at the Astroworld festival,” her family’s attorney said.

Houston police are conducting a criminal investigation with the involvement of the homicide and narcotics divisions, Chief Troy Finner said.

On Wednesday, Travis Scott’s attorney released a new statement that reads: “Over the last week, Travis Scott and his team have been actively exploring routes of connection with each and every family affected by the tragedy through the appropriate liaisons.”

“He is distraught by the situation and desperately wishes to share his condolences and provide aid to them as soon as possible, but wants to remain respectful of each family’s wishes on how they’d best like to be connected.”

Scott has apologized for the deaths and has offered to pay the funeral expenses for all of the families.
