LGBTQ Org Forgives DaBaby But Condemns Dave Chappelle Over Netflix Special
DaBaby Forgiven By LGBTQ Organization But Dave Chappelle Remains Condemned
DaBaby was nearly canceled after he made “offensive remarks” aimed at the LGBTQ community back in July while performing. After receiving tons of backlash and being dropped by other festivals, he apologized and met with 11 originations to be educated.
The rapper returned to the Rolling Loud stage last week after getting the green light from festival organizers.
TMZ reports that that CEO for Relationship Unleashed, Gwendolyn D. Clemons even told the outlet that she and her cohorts at the nonprofit can comfortably sign off on DB’s appearance at Rolling Loud NY last week and he’s forgiven. They feel he’s learned a lot over the past few months.

Clemons told the media outlet that DaBaby met with them as well as other orgs that advocate for the LGBTQ community and claims they got through to him. Now despite all this, they’re now putting their focus on another entertainer.
Clemons is now condemning comedian Dave Chapelle over his Netflix special where he addressed DaBaby’s controversial moment while mentioning the LGBTQ community.
Clemson says he is not forgiven because she feels like the comedian has not shown any empathy or remorse, adding Dave knows exactly what he’s doing. To note, Dave has acknowledged that he knows exactly what he’s doing, which is not to apologize because he says he is in no way shape, or form transphobic.
The comedian has said that he is open to meeting with LGBTQ community to have a respectful conversation. Not sure if Clemons and her org want to be included.
